Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, I have always had one foot in my home country and the other in the world.
I am most interested in global issues and how they affect communities big and small around the globe. As a multimedia journalist, I aim to help these communities make sense of what is happening in their world and to communicate what they have to say to the people in power.
I am excited by the changing face of journalism and the many possibilities for better reporting that has cropped up in recent years. Having said that, I strongly believe in the old journalistic values of relentless verification, strict independence and public service.
I am currently pursuing my M.A. from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, collecting multi-platform skills while deepening my understanding of Business & Economics Reporting.
I hold a B.A. in English and psychology from the University of Melbourne and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Sekolah Pelita Harapan, Lippo Village.
I have contributed to Aquila Asia, PRESTIGE Indonesia, DA MAN, The Jakarta Globe, HighEnd and Above Water, New York City News Service and The Riverdale Press.
